I do like it as a fast food place howeverĮ,, grubhub.Even in their rush to complete the task, these chefs make fun out of cooking they slice and dice vegetables, meats rhythmically, breaking into song and dance, with plenty of slapstick comedy thrown into the mix. Gangnam Style Korean Kitchen is not a bad place, its just not a place that you will remember, or a place you will go out of your way to visit again for a sit down meal. For this scale I would give 5 out of 5.įor a quick order and take out I would give 3.5 out of 5 The family that owns and run the restaurant are great, very friendly, very helpful. Overall this place I would say is average, its more of a college eating place or a fast order, pickup, leave. The prices for what we ordered avg about 13 for each of the two meals. The menu has a large number fo selections to choose from, the meals we order were good but not "WOW", "OMG this is great", "Gotta come back here again" etc).
There were only 6-7 tables at the pace which all but 1-2 were for only for two people. but Gangnam is more of a quick fast food type of place. I was expecting a more formal restaurant type of place.
Gangnam style korean kitchen plus#
We choose this place based on a coupon I had plus some reviews I read (about 4 out of 5). Recently my wife and myself went to dinner at Gangnam Style Korean Kitchen in Syracuse. Would I go here again? Probably not knowing there are better Korean places in the area. I like the interior, I think they are still working on things.Īsk for refills if you want them (you probably will), it will make the meal better. The restaurant is small, so going with more than 6 people for a sit down may result in a bit of a wait. This made the meal less enjoyable, especially with the spicy food (any palate cleanser would have been nice). Sadly, this is one of the only restaurants I've been to where there were no refills (which were much needed with different flavors and levels of heat). The server sort of passed my 'recommendation' test, even though the dish she recommended had the equivalent of one hot dog cut up amidst spam, kimchi and a lone dumpling (does it get more authentic)? The dish was spicy, which she warned me about-it wasn't bad. If you want authentic Korean food, come here. high for certain things ($15 for teriyaki chicken, par grilled, rubbery, nothing special). The food was authentic and delicious no doubt. I guess you have to ask for water and refills. The meal started off great with delicious barley tea. I went there on a Friday night, it wasn't too busy. So - if they can get the intermediary online ordering service straightened out, I would definitely give a 5-star because THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL! More I was prepared to pay for it but the owner would not take any money for it - good customer service!!! In fact, I ordered another order of the fried dumplings because the one I had before coming back to get the rest of the order was so good. She apologized profusely and I assured her I understood and was not upset.
When we went back, the owner showed us the order form and it was clear that my order (as I submitted it) was in small print at the bottom of the form but when the site transferred it to larger print it omitted a portion of it - not the owner’s fault. When we got it home only part of our order was in the bag. The negative - We ordered online and when we arrived the food was ready. The dumplings reminded me of exactly what I used to order from street vendors in Korea - it was all very, very good!! All of the food was prepared very well and was flavorful. It took me back to my time in Korea with. The positive - the food was all VERY GOOD. We ordered Japchae, Bibimbop, Bulgogi and Cilantro Bokkeum.
We decided to give this place a try and overall we VERY pleased.
